Who owns Reverie?Reverie was created by hairdresser, Garrett Markenson in 2009. To this day Garrett is the owner and CEO.

Where are Reverie products manufactured?All Reverie products are formulated and manufactured in California, USA.
Is your packaging recyclable / sustainable?Environmental mindfulness is of the utmost importance to us here at Reverie. We utilize glass as well as plastic made with post-consumer recycled content when available. In 2020 we will be moving to 100% PCR mono-material tubes and bottles which will increase recyclability and divert ocean bound plastics to give them a second life.
We only utilize secondary packaging (paper cartons) when absolutely necessary and all paper is FSC-certified paper to ensure forest sustainability. All shipping boxes and filler material are 100% recyclable in North America.
In addition to these initiatives, we aim to source our packaging from within the US, specifically, California when available to reduce carbon emissions. To offset the carbon emissions produced contributions are made to Carbon Fund. Our warehouse utilizes Terracycle to recycle all shipping materials sent into the facility from outside companies.
How many ingredients are on Reverie’s “Never List”?Over 1500 and adding. Most notably silicones, sulfates, parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, triclosan, micro-beads, PEGs, artificial fragrance (over 400 ingredients fall into the category), DEA, TEA, petroleum, mineral oil, and synthetic dyes.
What preservatives does Reverie use?We use Ecocert preservatives, such as dehydroacetic acid and benzyl alcohol, to maintain the performance, quality, and freshness of our formulas.
Are your products organic?While we utilize organic and EcoCert ingredients in our formulas, Reverie products are not certified organic.
Are your products cruelty- free?YES! Reverie is a Leaping Bunny certified company.
Why do some products contain alcohol?Cetyl Alcohol is a fatty alcohol found in plant cells that does not behave like other alcohols, such as ethanol or propanol. This alcohol is not drying; it conditions & softens the hair and increases manageability. Denatured alcohol is a natural alcohol that is used in our MARE Mediterranean Sea Mist to absorb excess oil. Benzyl Alcohol is an EcoCert preservative.
What is the shelf life of Reverie products?24 months from manufacture date. We are all about transparency so each product is stamped with an expiration date (mm/yyyy) so you never have to guess when you need to use them by!
Are Reverie products suitable for all hair types?Absolutely! We created Reverie to be an inclusive edited line powerful enough for all hair types. Ever Oil is a product that can be added into other products to amplify the nourishing nature for curly / coarse / natural hair.
Are Reverie products nut-free?Many of our products utilize tree-nut oils such as Marula, Sweet Almond and Shea. We cannot confirm that the products were made in a nut-free facility. Please consult the ingredient lists on each product page and consult with your doctor if the allergy is severe.
Are Reverie products gluten-free?Yes, all products are gluten-free.
Is MARE Mediterranean Sea Mist safe for people with tree nut allergies?The allergen statement from the supplier of this ingredient claims there is no presence of nuts, tree nuts, peanuts, milk, soy, wheat, gluten, sesame, eggs, or fish within the ingredient, however, the ingredient is manufactured in a facility that produces these.

Cut the top and empty out the remaining contents. Once clean separate the cap and recycle separately. * in 2020 we will be rolling out mono-material tubes so there will be no need for separation!

Glass bottles- Cake, Ever, Milk, Milk XLGlass jars and bottles can be endlessly recycled. Rinse out excess product and be sure to dispose of lids, caps, and applicators separately if they’re not glass.
